Door Knocking Pro ("we," "us") is a field-organizing tool operated by Privy Clear Advertising ("the Company"). This policy explains what information we handle and how. It covers campaigns (the candidates and organizations who license Door Knocking Pro) and users (the admins and canvassers who log in). It is not about the voters in a campaign's list — those records are owned and controlled by the campaign that uploaded them.
From users: account details you provide (name, username, email, optional phone, and a password stored only as a secure one-way hash); the door-knock outcomes, notes, and tags you log, stamped with your username; and basic technical logs needed to run the service securely. We do not use third-party advertising or social trackers.
From campaigns: setup details (candidate name, contact info, branding, election date) and the voter list the campaign uploads.
We do not collect sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, payment-card numbers, or financial-account details, and you should never enter those into the app.
A campaign uploads a voter list it has obtained and is permitted to use (typically a public voter file from a state or county election authority). That data belongs to and is controlled by the campaign, is stored in that campaign's own isolated database, is never shared with other campaigns or third parties, and is processed only to provide the service to that campaign. Each campaign is responsible for using its voter data lawfully.
To authenticate users and secure accounts; to provide the product's features (lists, maps, routes, analytics, field tracking); to send transactional messages such as password resets and campaign invitations; and to maintain, troubleshoot, back up, and improve the service. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or share it.
Only: within your campaign (your logged activity is visible to your campaign's admins); with infrastructure providers strictly to run the service (e.g., our cloud host and transactional-email provider); and when legally required or to protect rights and safety. We never sell your data or share it for others' marketing.
We keep campaign and user data while an account is active. When a campaign ends its use, we will, on request, export the campaign's data and then permanently delete it from our active systems (backups age out on our normal rotation). Users may update or close their account by contacting their campaign admin or us.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information and to opt out of certain processing. Because we are not a data broker and do not sell data, many broker-specific opt-outs do not apply, but we will still honor valid requests. Contact us at [email protected]. Voters who want their voter-file record changed should contact their election authority and/or the campaign that contacted them.
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, described in our Security & Privacy Overview. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Door Knocking Pro is for campaign staff and volunteers and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy as the product or the law changes. We'll revise the date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify campaign admins.
